I lived for a time in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, in Colorado. Hiking the trail up to Dream Lake with my husband, also a painter, is a memory I carry with me, always. A day spent screen-free, infused with alpine air, and an impossibly blue sky was the stuff of happiness.
